June 17,2008 <br /> Rose Dickson Cook,3328 Oakes Avenue,also spoke in favor of bus <br /> transportation for the 2n0 shift at Boeing. <br /> Greg Moore,203 E View Rage Drive.stated that the bus mute goes <br /> through a residential area and he fully supports moving the bus mute <br /> closer to Mukilteo Boulevard. <br /> Marilee Richards,619 Kings Place,stated she is legally blind and <br /> depends on bus transportation. She stated that she supports mom <br /> frequent bus service and service later into the night and Sundays. <br /> Patti Barton,508 East View Ridge Drive,stated she is legally blind end <br /> bus dependent She presented the City Council with a petition signed by <br /> 143 neighbors. The petition stated'We the undersigned residents of <br /> View Ridge hereby petition the City of Everett to keep regular scheduled <br /> bus service into the(lower)View Ridge neighborhood equivalent to or <br /> greater than it's current route and equivalent to or greater then it's <br /> frequency.She showed maps regarding distances into the neighborhood <br /> relative to the current mute,no route,Olympic Boulevard,and shortened <br /> loop.She stated that no non-adults signed the petition.She indicated the <br /> neighbors were appreciative of her petition efforts.Taking bus service out <br /> of View Ridge or cutting service back to 45�Street where the apartments <br /> ere will exciude or redone the disabled from living in single family types of <br /> neighborhoods.She discussed facts relative to bus drivers speeding on <br /> Elm,Elm Street being too narrow,and increased activity(congestion)at <br /> the ball field.With all the attempts of getting rid of View Ridge service, <br /> transit's non recommendation of their property donation is a case of not <br /> wanting to serve the neighborhood.She questioned the cost estimate of <br /> the bus turn around.She further said that the favored proposal by transit <br /> to cut the loop back at 45.Street is nota service increase.The issue Is <br /> ridership.She also requested the city put sidewalks on the east side of <br /> Elm. <br /> Kelvin Barton,506 East View Ridge Drive.mad a letter from the Law Firm <br /> of Judith A.Lonnquist,P.S.,representing the Berton.The letter pointed <br /> to grave concerns that the proposal that Everett Transit has to modify the <br /> route is discriminatory and retaliatory against Mr.and Mrs.Barton.It also <br /> stated that no other routes have been surveyed since 2006 and no service <br /> has been cut In the entire Everett Transit system since 2003.This route is <br /> 188 <br />
