June 24,2009 <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes except Council <br /> Members Gipson end Heave who voted no and Council Members Roberts <br /> and Afmolter who were excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> City Attorney lies had no comment. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> David Mascarenas,Everett,stated that the city council needs to take an <br /> active role in the Port District.He spoke in favor of delaying the Planning <br /> Director's decision regarding the demolition of the Collins Building. <br /> Valerie Steel,President of Historic Everett,voiced that the Port's request <br /> for a demolition permit for the Collins Building is premature. The <br /> consulting parties,Historic Everett and the Washington Trust for Historic <br /> Preservation,are parses to the memorandum of agreement conceming <br /> the 12 Street Yacht Basin and have reserved the right for dispute <br /> resolution.The 30 day period for the dispute resolution has not expired. <br /> CONSENT ITEMS: <br /> Moved by Council Member Gipson,seconded by Council Member <br /> Nielsen to approve the following consent items: <br /> RESOLUTION-CLAIMS <br /> To adopt Resolution No.6158 acknowledging the payment of audited <br /> and approved claims against the city of Everett in the amount of <br /> $1,525,712.87 for the period June 6,2009 through June 12,2009. <br /> 182 <br />
