CITY OF EVERETT SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br /> 2-02.3(7) Salvage <br /> List salvaged items in this section and modify language accordingly. <br /> Carefully salvage and deliver to the Owner in good condition, all materials of <br /> recoverable value taken from the discarded facilities, unless otherwise indicated. <br /> Materials and things deemed of no value by the Engineer shall become the <br /> Contractor's property to be removed and properly disposed. <br /> Remove excess concrete, debris and dirt from castings and other materials the <br /> Engineer designates suitable for salvage and that are not to be re-used elsewhere <br /> on the Project. Deliver salvage castings and materials to the location designated <br /> by the Engineer. <br /> 2-02.3(8) Waste Disposal <br /> (******) <br /> Provide waste site for disposal of materials not required for construction. Arrange <br /> waste disposal at no expense to the City. Waste disposal shall meet the <br /> requirements of 2-03.3(7)C of the Standard Specifications. <br /> 2-02.4 Vacant <br /> Delete 2-02.4 and substitute the following: <br /> 2-02.4 Measurement <br /> Bid items of Work completed pursuant to the Contract Documents will be measured as <br /> described in Division B — Bid Item Descriptions of these Special Provisions and Section <br /> 1-09 MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT of the Standard Specifications. <br /> For curb and gutter cement removal with concrete pavement, the curb and gutter will be <br /> considered as pavement removal and the measurement for payment will be to the back <br /> of the curb. <br /> 2-02.5 Payment <br /> Delete all paragraphs in 2-02.5 and substitute the following: <br /> Payment for bid items of Work completed pursuant to the Contract Documents will be <br /> as described in Division B — Bid Item Descriptions of these Special Provisions and <br /> Section 1-09 MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT of the Standard Specifications. <br /> If there is no Bid item to cover structure removal, including, but not limited to, removal <br /> of inlets, catch basins and manholes, then no direct compensation will be made and <br /> costs shall be included in other items of the Work. <br /> If there is no Bid item to cover structure abandonment, including, but not limited to, partial <br /> removal of inlets, catch basins and manholes, then no direct compensation will be made <br /> and costs shall be included in other items of the Work. <br /> If there is no Bid item to cover pipe removal, then no direct compensation will be made <br /> and costs shall be included in other items of the Work. <br /> If there is no pay item for pipe abandonment, then it shall be included with the <br /> construction of the respective Work including, but not limited to, storm drain pipe, water <br /> main, inlet, catch basin or side sewer with no direct compensation made. <br /> If there is no pay item for existing valve abandonment, then it shall be included with the <br /> construction of other items of Work with no direct compensation made. <br /> 2-03 ROADWAY EXCAVATION AND EMBANKMENT <br /> 2-03.1 Description <br /> Supplement 2-03.1 by adding the following: <br /> Jackson Park Area Stormwater Separation Division 2—EARTHWORK September 2020 <br /> WO No. -UP3703 SP—136 <br />
