Technical Capability, Approach, Capacity and Sustainability <br />A. What is your approach to this project? List the primary features or work tasks. Describe your <br />execution, management, and control of the project. Include a business plan specific to this <br />proposal that addresses all the key points asked as well as financial proforma. <br />To manage the City greenhouse facility, T&L Nursery would first reach out to any <br />individuals with direct experience at the facility, which were laid off when the facility <br />was closed. If those individuals have moved on to new jobs, we will utilize our own <br />experienced growers and staff to maintain and run the facility. <br />There is no proforma in place at this time. <br />B. Describe any environmental or sustainability benefits of your proposal Include sustainable <br />related strategies, practices, services or products that may reduce the environmental impact. <br />We will be minimizing waste at the Everett facility by filling the pots with soil and <br />transporting to the City greenhouse site. This would reduce the need to have excess <br />soil and plastic on the site and any plant material that should go bad, will be <br />composted and reused at a later date. We will reduce the impact on the waste <br />facilities by reusing the plastic pots and trays at T&L Nursery and the City of Everett <br />location. <br />Excess inventory of packing material or boxes will be stored at T&L Nursery keeping a <br />minimal amount at the City greenhouses during the shipping season <br />C. Provide a timeline plan for this project and include any City of Everett staff time <br />requirements. <br />• <br />T&L Nursery would like to open the site in January 2021. Our main concern is that the <br />water systems, boilers, etc., are kept in good order and not left to freeze. The City of <br />Everett staff would need to oversee that aspect of the project. <br />4 <br />
