Additionally, Nicholas has worked with the cities of <br />Issaquah, Kirkland, Arlington, Mountlake Terrace, Tukwila, Shoreline, and Tacoma as they <br />pursued participation in regional conservation programs. <br />Nicholas has a M.S. in Forest Resources and an M.P.A. from the University of Washington. <br />He has ducil Bachelors degrees in Geological Sciences and French from the University of <br />Michigan. <br />Years with Forterra: 12 years <br />Joanna Nelson de Flores (Urban Forestry Lead, Forterra) brings aver 15 years of <br />experience implementing and managing local restoration programs and projects. She <br />began at Forterra as a founding staff member of the Green Seattle Partnership in 2005, a <br />nationally recognized community -based urban forest stewardship program. She now oversees <br />Forterra s growing Green Cities and riparian restoration programs working in partnership <br />with cities, counties, state agencies, private property owners, community members, and local. <br />businesses in the Puget Sound region to restore and care for urban forests, natural areas, <br />creeks, and rivers. <br />Joanna specializes in coordinating restoration program logistics; building partner <br />relationships with city staff, community leaders and organizations; and establishing tracking <br />systems to measure program success. Joanna Served cis project lead working in collaboration <br />with a team of Forterra and Everett Parks staff to establish the Green Everett Partnership, <br />including a natural areas forest assessment, a 20-year restoration plan, and a volunteer <br />program to support the restoration and maintenance of Everett's forested parks and natural <br />areas. <br />Joanna has a B.S. in Natural Resources and Wildlife Science from Washington State <br />University. <br />■ Years with Forterra: 15 years <br />Lindsay Hanna (sustainability & Engagement Support, Forterra) develops and implements <br />innovative programs and policies to create sustainable communities and conserve natural <br />resource lands throughout the Puget Sound region. She specializes in engaging communities <br />in planning and policymakmg; facilitating community visioning and collaborative decision - <br />making processes, and providing research, analysis, and program development for local, <br />regional, and state issues concerning land use, ecosystems, community equity, food systems, <br />recreation, and economic revitalization. <br />Lindsay designed and implemented community engagement strategies to expand outreach <br />to communities of color to ensure diverse perspectives were represented in the Skykomish <br />411 <br />:111 PROPOSAL • SUBMITTED OCTOBER 27, 2020 <br />9 <br />
