RFP #2020-073 • CITY OF EVERETT PARKS, RECREATION & OPEN SPACE PLAN <br /> Required Deliverable BERK Task <br /> Provide recommendations on locations for new parks,open space,trails and Task 5 <br /> recreation facilities,to include access and American with Disabilities Act(ADA) • <br /> improvements needed to enhance the walkability,biking experience for nearby <br /> residents to meet level of service needs. <br /> Provide park funding recommendations that include public and non-public Task 4 <br /> options,partnership and other strategies to develop,maintain and manage the <br /> park system including funding options beyond general tax dollars. <br /> Investigate the potential for the City's Park Department becoming a Task 4 <br /> Metropolitan Park District(MPD)which includes aligning the overall PROS plan <br /> to move forward with a future MPD. <br /> Park impact fee development including park capital improvement plan.Inclusion Task 4 <br /> of acquisition and development of park areas around future light rail stations. <br /> Recommendations for the future of existing golf courses. Task 5 <br /> Funding options beyond general tax dollars. Task 4 <br /> Urban tree canopy evaluation utilizing industry best practices and policy Task 2 <br /> development. <br /> Open and riparian area evaluation.
