City of Everett 00 7300 - 6 <br /> 2021 Biosolids and Backwash Solids Removal UT 3752-1 / 20 <br /> content of less than 18% TS will be too wet to transport and too wet to <br /> work with in the City's drying bed. <br /> b. Contractor shall determine and implement the best operational <br /> procedures for the successful dewatering of the backwash solids to <br /> the required minimum TS content of 18% TS. <br /> c. Upon completion of the work, the Contractor will be responsible for <br /> returning the Backwash Pond Pad, all staging areas, and haul routes <br /> to the Drying Bed to their original condition at the start of the project. <br /> Any damage by the Contractors operations to the Backwash Pond <br /> Pad, all staging areas, and haul routes to the Drying Bed will be the <br /> responsibility of the Contractor to repair to the satisfaction of the City's <br /> Project Manager. <br /> D. Backwash Solids Weighing and Transportation <br /> 1. Transportation Equipment <br /> a. The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, and appurtenances <br /> necessary to perform and support the loading, transportation, and <br /> relocation of the backwash solids from the Backwash Solids Pad to <br /> the applicable location at the City's Drying Bed. This loading, <br /> transportation and relocation work shall be incidental to the unit price <br /> bid for Dry Ton Removed, Dewatering, and Placed on WFP Drying <br /> Bed. <br /> b. Trucks shall be thoroughly cleaned after dumping the material with <br /> minimal solids left in the truck from the previous load. It shall be the <br /> Contractor's responsibility to clean up any backwash solids on a daily <br /> basis that are deposited on the between the Backwash Solids Pad, all <br /> staging areas, and the Drying Bed. <br /> 2. WFP Truck Scale <br /> a. The City will provide a certified truck scale the Contractor to use. The <br /> scale will be used to weigh loads as they are moved from the <br /> Backwash Solids Pad to the storage area on the City's Backwash <br /> Solids Drying Bed. The scale was last certified in November of 2020. <br /> b. All truckloads of backwash solids transported to the Backwash Solids <br /> Drying Bed will be weighed and scale tickets will be provided to the <br /> Contractor upon request. <br /> c. Upon completion of the work, the Contractor will be responsible for <br /> returning the truck scale to its original condition at the start of the <br /> project. All damage to the truck scale will be the responsibility of the <br /> Contractor to repair to the satisfaction of the City's Project Manager. <br /> END OF SECTION 00 7300 <br /> 00 7300 - 6 SPECIAL CONDITIONS <br />
