City of Everett 01 1100 - 4 <br /> 2021 Biosolids and Backwash Solids Removal UT 3752-1 / 20 <br /> 1.4 CHANGES IN THE WORK <br /> A. Change orders will be calculated based on the provisions in Section 00 7200. <br /> 1.5 WORK BY OTHERS <br /> A. The Contractor is required to coordinate all their activities with the City's Project <br /> Manager, or his/her designee. The City may have other construction projects in <br /> progress at either the WPCF of the WFP during the duration of this project and <br /> it is the Contractor's responsibility to assure that adequate notice is given to the <br /> City's Project Manager regarding equipment or materials that may need to be <br /> relocated in order to perform the work. <br /> 1.6 WORK BY THE OWNER <br /> A. The Owner shall have the right to access the site 24/7 and execute work not <br /> included in this Contract and concurrent with the contract period. Contractor shall <br /> cooperate with such Owner sponsored efforts. <br /> B. Sample testing and analysis required by the Owner under terms of this Contract <br /> will be conducted by appropriate City Staff under the supervision of Everett <br /> Environmental Laboratory, which is co-located at the WPCF. All samples required <br /> by City will be analyzed at City's expense. <br /> 1.7 SOLIDS ANALYTICAL DATA <br /> A. Biosolids data is provided in Appendix D. Data was taken in 2020 per the WPCF's <br /> NPDES permit from Washington State Department of Ecology. The biosolids <br /> have been analyzed in-situ for pollutants in accordance with 40 CFR 503 as <br /> required by coverage under the General Permit for Biosolids. Each prospective <br /> bidder must determine what evaluations of the in-situ solids characteristics are <br /> necessary and shall coordinate with the City's Project Manager if additional solids <br /> information is needed. It is the Contractor's responsibility to determine how the <br /> characteristics of the City's biosolids may influence the performance and <br /> efficiency of their equipment. Solids concentration will vary horizontally and <br /> vertically within the City's Aeration Cell #2. <br /> B. Backwash solids data is provided in Appendix E. Prospective bidder must <br /> determine what evaluations of the in-situ solids characteristics are necessary and <br /> shall coordinate with the City's Project manager if additional solids information is <br /> needed. It is the Contractor's responsibility to determine how the characteristics <br /> of the City's backwash solids may influence the performance and efficiency of <br /> their equipment. Solids concentration will vary horizontally and vertically within <br /> the City's Backwash Pond. <br /> 01 1100 - 4 SUMMARY OF WORK <br />
