Exhibit A <br /> City of Everett Water Filtration Plant <br /> Filter Re-Rating Pilot Study Scope of Work <br /> Amendment No. 2 <br /> CH2M HILL Engineers,Inc.doing business as a wholly owned subsidiary ofJacobs(Jacobs)has <br /> been supporting the City of Everett(City)with a high rate pilot study to demonstrate the extent <br /> to which the existing Water Filtration Plant(WFP)is capable of operating successfully at higher <br /> filter loading rates.This contract was initiated and has been continuously in effect sinceJanuary <br /> 7,2015 and has been delayed due to regulatory challenges,construction at the WFP,pandemic <br /> challenges,and other operational and equipment issues.In order to support the City in the <br /> completion of the pilot study,Jacobs will take on additional responsibility beyond the limited <br /> technical oversite included in the original scope of work, with the contract term extended <br /> through December 31, 2022. <br /> The following Scope of Work outlines only the work remaining and still needing to be completed <br /> as of December 1,2020,or additional and new work added as a part of this amendment.Unless <br /> specifically noted,all work not included as"Remaining Work"in this Amendment No.2 Scope of <br /> Work is assumed to have been completed, or is no longer needed subject to the revisions <br /> considered and incorporated via this Amendment. <br /> Through the course of the project services provided to date,and for services going forward, <br /> Jacobs will reasonably rely upon the accuracy,and completeness of the information/data <br /> provided by the City or other third parties, including that relating to the operation and <br /> performance of the pilot study equipment and WFP. <br /> Given that the impact and implications of the COVID-19 pandemic are evolving at this time, the <br /> scope, schedule, and cost estimate for the work outlined herein are based on Jacobs project <br /> delivery estimates and assumptions in accordance with current COVID-19 federal, state, and <br /> local restrictions or guidelines. This doesn't necessarily include COVID-19 impacts to the City, <br /> other federal, state, and local agencies, and other stakeholders. Any schedule delays or cost <br /> impacts resulting from future COVID-19 restrictions will be assessed by the Jacobs and <br /> communicated to the City, and vice versa, in support of progress towards successful completion <br /> of the pilot study. <br /> Task 1- Pilot Test Plan Preparation and DOH Coordination <br /> The City will continue to take the lead on preparation of the Pilot Test Plant and coordination <br /> with the Washington State Department of Health (DOH). <br /> Current Status: <br /> Jacobs has reviewed multiple versions of the Pilot Test Plan.The City elected to not hold in an <br /> in-person review meeting with DOH.Funds intended for use on the DOH review meeting were <br /> redirected towards out-of-scope activities supporting the City with research and guidance <br /> Exhibit A: Filter Re-Rating Pilot Study Scope of Work,Amendment No.2 Page 1 of 6 <br />
