Folks will be forced to uproot themselves and <br />either move or face jail time, resulting in a use of funds for criminalizing people for simply trying to survive rather than <br />actually getting them the access to resources they need. If the city is truly dedicated to taking care of all citizens, then <br />the council should strike down this ordinance and dedicate time and resources towards meaningfully addressing the <br />needs of houseless people instead of creating a bandaid solution that will severely harm people in the meantime and <br />prevent them from interacting with people who can offer them the assistance the city won't provide. <br />I ask you to vote no on this ordinance. <br />1 <br />
