However, it is provided with less than a 48-inch clearance to the stair edge. The Door Schedule specifies Hardware Group HW-6; the group is not defined in the drawings, but anticipated to include a door closer. The minimum door clearance should be 54 inches. Note that the door is required to be accessible regardless of whether it is located on an accessible route. See IBC Sections 1101.2 and 1103.1, and ICC A117.1-09 Figure 404.2.3.2(f). ANSWER: The north wall of the glass endosure has been shifted south in order to provide the required clearance to the stair edge.
