<br /> Measurement will be based on the percentage of the work defined in this bid item that is completed
<br /> at the time of measurement.
<br /> Bid Item 15: HMA, for Permanent Pavement Patch
<br /> ' Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Ton (TON)
<br /> Measurement for HMA, for Permanent Pavement Patch shall be by the ton, recorded on certified
<br /> weight tickets in accordance with 1-09.2 WEIGHING EQUIPMENT for HMA placed within the limits
<br /> of dimensions defined in the Work or shown on the Plans, Standard Specifications, Section 5-06
<br /> of these Special Provisions, or as otherwise approved by the Engineer. The measurement and
<br /> payment limits for measuring the width of this bid item shall not exceed the saw-cut limits shown
<br /> on the Drawings. No deduction will be made for the weight of asphalt binder, blending sand, mineral
<br /> ' filler, or other component of the mixture.
<br /> The unit price for this bid item shall include all labor, materials, equipment and related work
<br /> necessary to furnish, machine-place, compact, roll and perform density tests on multiple lifts of
<br /> HMA-CL 1/2" PG 64-22 pavement including streets, alleys, street crossings, and driveway aprons
<br /> as shown on the Plans.
<br /> Miscellaneous HMA used for pavement repair, driveways, thickened edges, extruded and wedge
<br /> ' curbing, placing and compacting pre-leveling, leveling and wearing courses, feathering pavement
<br /> is included in this bid item with no direct compensation made.
<br /> Furnishing and applying tack coat, prime coat,joint seal and crack sealing asphalt is to be included
<br /> ' in this bid item with no direct compensation made. All costs for "Anti Stripping Additive" and
<br /> "Compaction Adjustment" shall be included in the unit contract price per ton of the HMA with no
<br /> direct compensation made.
<br /> ' The unit price for this bid item shall include all labor, materials, equipment and related work
<br /> necessary to furnish, place, compact, roll and perform density tests on ATB placed in accordance
<br /> with the Plans, Standard Specifications, and these Special Provisions.
<br /> Bid Item 16:Topsoil, Type A and Seeding
<br /> Yp
<br /> Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Square Yard (SY)
<br /> Measurement for providing 4-inch thick Topsoil, Type A shall be limited to dimensions and work
<br /> limits defined in the work descriptions for other bid items, shown on the Plans, details or COE
<br /> Standard Drawings or as otherwise approved by the Engineer.
<br /> ' The unit price per square yard for Topsoil, Type A&Seeding shall be full compensation for all labor,
<br /> compaction, material, tools, and equipment necessary to provide compacted 4 inches thick
<br /> imported Topsoil,Type Afor the Work as required,from a Contractor-supplied source in accordance
<br /> ' with the Standard Specifications and these Special Provisions.
<br /> The unit price for Topsoil, Type A & Seeding includes all costs for hauling, stockpiling, placing,
<br /> grading, compacting, seeding, and controlling moisture content.
<br /> Also, to be included in this bid item shall be the cost of all subgrade preparation and grader work,
<br /> or any other equipment required to establish correct surfaces to proper grade before the topsoil is
<br /> placed, as well as all equipment required to spread and compact the topsoil uniformly on the
<br /> surface to be seeded. Also included shall be the costs for removing, loading, hauling, and disposing
<br /> of unsuitable or displaced materials.
<br /> Include cost of sprinkling during dry periods prior to placement of the topsoil and while spreading
<br /> ' and compacting the material along with turf establishment in the unit price for this bid item.
<br /> Payment for Topsoil,Type A&Seeding will be determined by the square yard as measured in place.
