I <br /> CITY OF EVERETT SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br /> IAny staking requirements for the Project that do not fit field conditions will be reviewed and if <br /> necessary, adjusted by the Engineer. Any necessary revisions to the staking information will be <br /> I provided to the Contractor for use in completing the Work. <br /> Stakes, marks, and other reference points, including existing monumentation, set by the City shall <br /> be carefully preserved by the Contractor. The Contractor will be charged for the costs of replacing <br /> I stakes, markers and monumentation that were not to be disturbed but were destroyed or <br /> damaged by the Contractor's operations. This charge will be deducted from monies due or to <br /> become due to the Contractor. <br /> I To facilitate the establishment of these lines and elevations, the City will provide the Contractor <br /> with the following survey control: <br /> ROADWAY, SURFACING AND PAVING <br /> I Establish elevation benchmarks and center or base line alignment control points for the <br /> mainline, one time only. Provide right of way stakes where applicable. <br /> Provide rights-of-way, easements or right-of-entry. <br /> I Provide the Contractor with technical advice if requested. <br /> Computed grades where needed. <br /> Provide horizontal and vertical curve data. <br /> IOne copy of transit notes showing reference to horizontal and vertical control points. <br /> OTHER STRUCTURES <br /> Centerline or offset coordinates to centerline of the structure. <br /> IA sufficient number of benchmarks for levels to enable the Contractor to set grades at <br /> reasonably short distances. <br /> I Monuments and control points as shown on the Plans. <br /> The Contractor shall give the City three weeks notification to allow adequate time to <br /> provide the above data. <br /> I The Contractor shall ensure a surveying accuracy within the following tolerances: <br /> 1. Slope stakes ±0.1 foot <br /> 2. Subgrade blue tops ±0.01 foot <br /> I 3. Stationing ±0.01 foot <br /> 4. Alignment ±0.01 foot <br /> 5. Surfacing red & yellow tops ±0.01 foot <br /> 6. Superstructure elevations ±0.01 foot (from plan elevations) <br /> I <br /> 7. Substructure ±0.02 foot (from plan elevations) <br /> The Contractor shall slope stake the roadway before any construction may proceed. Slope stakes <br /> shall be set at 50' maximum intervals on tangents and 25' on curves. <br /> I <br /> Subgrade bluetops and surfacing red and yellow tops shall be set at 50' intervals in tangent <br /> sections, 25' intervals in curve sections, and 10' intervals in intersection radii. <br /> The Contractor's surveyor shall be a licensed surveyor in the State of Washington. The <br /> I Contractor shall keep updated survey field notes in a standard field book and in a format set by <br /> the Engineer. These field notes shall include all survey work performed by the Contractor's <br /> surveyor in establishing line, grade and slopes for the construction work. Copies of these field <br /> I notes shall be provided to the Engineer upon request and upon completion of the Contract Work; <br /> the field book shall be submitted to the Engineer and become property of the City. <br /> If the survey work provided by the Contractor does not meet the standards of the Engineer, then <br /> I the Contractor shall, upon the Engineer's written request, remove the individual or individuals <br /> doing the survey work and the survey work will be completed by the Engineer at the Contractor's <br /> I SEI to SRI Intertie,SRO8 Rehab Division 1 —GENERAL REQUIREMENTS WO No.—UP3714 <br /> SP-61 <br />
