A . 11 k 0 0 <br />9. 'The First Floor Plan on Sheet Al. 1 and South Elevation 2/A4.1 indicate a new exterior wall opening <br />for the mechanical system. A detail for the penetration should be included in the construction <br />drawings. The detail should include a structural frame if required to support the existing exterior <br />masonry cladding. Calculations substantiating the frame should be submitted for review. See IBC <br />Sections 107.2.1, 1603.1, and 1604.1. <br />The new exterior mechanical vent louver is now being located in a panel in an existing window <br />opening (has spandrel black out glass). A new cut opening in the existing masonry wall is no <br />longer required. See revised South Elevation 2/A4.1 (Keynote 4.3) and Detail 3/A8.1. <br />10. West Elevation lJA4.0 specifies new flag poles. The following comments should be addressed: <br />a. Keynotes 4.4 and 4.5 appear intended to specify the pole heights. The notes should be revised <br />as needed See IBC Section 107.2.1. <br />The flagpoles have been eliminated from the project scope of work and deleted from the <br />drawings. <br />b. Keynote 4.6 specifies providing a flag pole base. Details and calculations for the base should be <br />included in the construction drawings.
