iii. Sheet C3.0—Permeable pavement should be constructed in accordance
with City of Everett Standard Drawing 430 and 431 and the applicable
sections of the DCSS.
The permeable pavement has been revised to be constructed per City of
Everett Standards. See sheet 3.0
iv. Sheet C3.0—Permeable Pavement Section—Clarify what"subgrade,
determined compaction based on design requirements"means. How is the
contractor to interpret this statement? Also, should the existing subgrade
be scarified, tilled, or otherwise treated to promote infiltration since it was
previously under conventional pavement or building areas?
Note #8 has been revised to clarify that the subgrade should be scarified if
the soil is too compacted.
v. Sheet C3.0—Include the standard drainage note per DCSS Section 4-2.7.
The standard drainage notes have been added. See sheet C3.0
vi. Sheet C3.2—This sheet does not show pavement types. If it is intended as
documentation of surfacing for stormwater requirements please label it as
such and provide a paving plan. As the set is currently put together it is
unclear how the contractor and inspectors will determine which paving
sections are to be placed where. The permeable pavement especially needs
to be more clearly identified beyond the light dotted pattern on sheet C3.0.
The sheet has been renamed to "Stormwater Requirements Exabit". The
paving plan is incorporated into C3.0. The permeable pavement hatch has
been revised to be more clearly identified. See revised plan sheets.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you may have.
Sincerely,
Santhosh Moolayil,
Project Manager
PO Box 1478 • Everett, WA 98206 • Phone: (425) 303-9363
Fax: (425) 303-9362 ® Email:info©insightengineering.net
