5. Listings and references should be provided for the partition STC's shown on Sheet A8.01 <br />where required by Section 1207.2 <br />6. Walls separating the sleeping rooms from each other and sleeping rooms from the <br />corridor/other rooms (FbA, NbA, NA, etc.) shown with assemblies that have less than 50 <br />STC on Sheet A8.01. Section 1207.2 <br />7. It should be verified that the existing walls and doors of electrical rooms B90040 & B9104 <br />that are part of the smoke barrier are appropriately rated. Section 709 <br />8. The plans should state that fire-resistant penetrations and joints will be special inspected <br />in accordance with Section 1705.17. <br />9. The fire safety and response plan for the 9th floor as specified in IFC Section 403.8 should <br />be forwarded to the fire marshal for approval. <br />Egress <br />1. The Family Lounge is shown with an occupant load greater than 50. Please note that we <br />would normally assign an occupant load factor (OLF) of 15 to such a space which would <br />not result in an occupant load greater than 50. If the OLF of 7 is truly representative of <br />the use of the space the following comments apply: <br />a. The occupancy should be revised to Assembly per Section 303.1. <br />b. All doors leading from the room should be shown with panic hardware on the door <br />schedule per Section 1010.1.10 (also note that door A9030 is not on the door <br />schedule). <br />c. The maximum occupant load should be posted in the room. <br />2. Family Conference room B9073A should also be provided with a side -hinged door. Section <br />1010.1.2 <br />3. Please confirm that doors opening into the corridors do not utilize roller latches. Section <br />407.3.1 <br />4. Please confirm that the doors leading from the electrical rooms are either provided with <br />panic hardware or are not required to have panic devices per Section 1010.1.10.3 <br />5. Please confirm that the existing electrical rooms are not required to have two means of <br />egress per Section 1006.2.2.6 and NEC Article 110.26 (C)(3). <br />6. The locations, use -instructions and signage requirements for the two-way communication <br />system at the elevator landings should be shown on the plans. Section 1009.8 <br />7.
