This separate PWP application is being provided to permit the excavation and removal of contaminated soils onsite and installation of a shoring system to facilitate that excavation work along the west margin of East Marine View Drive. There have been some prior communications with City staff —Paul McKee, yourself, and others —regarding the shoring and onsite soil remediation work, and the enclosed permit submittal items respond to questions and comments provided during those earlier discussions. SOILS REMEDIATION The application materials included with this resubmittal also include a copy of a report from Earth'n Wind, LLC (April 30, 2019) regarding their findings on the performance of the initial bioremediation work that is on -going within the East Marine View Drive right-of-way. This bioremediation effort is proposed to continue and to be expanded based on the favorable results to -date. The expanded injection bioremediation system being proposed is illustrated on the enclosed plans for reference, but will be permitted separately with a subsequent submittal.
