305. Requests for Information and Change Orders Subtasks 305.1 Requests for Information At the direction of the City, Consultant will receive and respond to contractor Requests for Information (RFIs) or their request for clarification of the Contract Documents and/or design intent. Consultant will interpret the meaning of the Contract Documents and will provide the City with clarifications or explanation of the design intent and/or contract requirements. Consultant will also prepare and maintain a log of RFIs received from the contractor, noting the date received, subject, resolution, and the date Consultant's response was delivered to the City. 305.2 Change Orders Consultant will provide professional and/or technical services to prepare technical information for inclusion into change orders prepared by the City's Project Representative. Consultant will also prepare and maintain a log of change orders issued to the contractor, noting the date received, who initiated the change, subject, status, the date issued, and applicable cost information. Provided by the City • City will take the lead in receiving, reviewing,and responding to contractor RFIs and change order requests. • City will provide direction to Consultant regarding involvement in RFIs and change orders. Assumptions ■ For budgeting purposes, it is assumed that Consultant will review and provide responses for up to 30 RFIs. • For budgeting purposes, it is assumed that Consultant will provide technical assistance to the City for up to seven (7) change orders.
