306. On-call Construction Observation Support <br /> At the direction of the City, Consultant will conduct on-site observations of the work in progress <br /> to assist in determining if the work is proceeding in accordance with the contract documents. <br /> Consultant will report to the City on activities performed by the contractor while onsite and advise <br /> the City on work that does not meet the contract documents. <br /> Consultant will prepare a report for each observation. Each report will detail the weather <br /> conditions, observation hours,work description, discrepancies noted,discussions with contractor, <br /> and any action items. Consultant will note the labor, equipment, and received materials. Specific <br /> observations will also be included in additional detail when required, such as observation test <br /> procedures. Photos may also be included. <br /> Digital copies of the report will be submitted to the City for permanent file purposes. <br /> This task does not include subconsultant observations. Those observations are included in their <br /> respective sub-task in Task 310, Subconsultant Services. <br /> Provided by the City <br /> • The City will provide a full-time on-site inspector and will take the lead in administering <br /> and managing the construction contract, on-site observations, and communicating with <br /> the construction contractor. <br /> • City will provide direction to Consultant regarding involvement in on-site observations. <br /> Assumptions <br /> ■ For budgeting purposes, it is assumed that Consultant will conduct on-site observations in <br /> support of the City's inspector once per week, totaling 99 on-site observations.
