Temporary Phase with portables must address minimum requirement #7 for flow
control. Provide calculations showing that addition of portables does not
increase flow to the combined system by more than 0.1 cubic foot per second in
the 100-year return storm or provide flow control. (Can be submitted in follow-
up report if this is to be under a separate permit for portables only. )
b. Infiltration Trench (Bid Alternate) requirements:
i. The trench width in MGS Flood modeling calculations is 5.75 feet but only 4 feet
wide shown in the plans. The width of the trench shall be the width in contact
with the infiltrating soil layer.
ii. The geotechnical report indicates that infiltration rates greater than 0.5 in/hr are
not encountered at depths shallower than 19 ft bgs, yet the trench is only 16.5 ft
bgs. Confirm depth of infiltration trench is adequate to achieve th design
infiltration rate. (Response required)
