Contractor shall," "in conformity with," "as shown," or "as specified" are intentional in <br /> streamlined sections. Omitted words and phrases shall be supplied by inference. Similar <br /> types of provisions may appear in various parts of a section or articles within a part <br /> depending on the format of the section. The Contractor shall not take advantage of any <br /> variation of form, format or style in making claims for extra Work. <br /> C. The cross referencing of specification sections under the subparagraph heading "Related <br /> Sections include but are not necessarily limited to:" and elsewhere within each <br /> specification section is provided as an aid and convenience to the Contractor. The <br /> Contractor shall not rely on the cross referencing provided and shall be responsible to <br /> coordinate the entire Work under the Contract Documents and provide a complete Project <br /> whether or not the cross referencing is provided in each section or whether or not the <br /> cross referencing is complete. <br /> D. Reference to standards, specifications, manuals, or codes of any technical society, <br /> organization, or association, or to Laws or Regulations, whether such reference be specific <br /> or by implication, shall mean the standard, specification, manual, code, or Laws or <br /> Regulations in effect at the time of opening of Bids (or on the Effective Date of the <br /> Agreement if there were no Bids), except as may be otherwise specifically stated in the <br /> Contract Documents. <br /> E. No provision of a standard, specification, manual or code, or an instruction of a Supplier <br /> shall be effective to change the duties or responsibilities of Owner, Contractor, or Owner's <br /> Representative, or their Subcontractors, consultants, agents, or employees from those set <br /> forth in the Contract Documents. No such provision or instruction shall be effective to <br /> assign to Owner, or Owner's Representative, or their related entities, any duty or authority <br /> to supervise or direct the performance of the Work or any duty or authority to undertake <br /> responsibility inconsistent with the provisions of the Contract Documents. <br /> 2.2 Division of Specifications and Drawings <br /> A. Specifications and Drawings are divided into groups for convenience. These divisions are <br /> not for the purpose of apportioning Work or responsibility for Work among <br /> Subcontractors, Suppliers and manufacturers. The Contractor is responsible for all Work <br /> shown or described, regardless of location(s) in the Contract Documents. <br /> 2.3 Discrepancies in Specifications and Drawings <br /> A. Errors and Omissions <br /> 1. If the Contractor, in the course of the Work, becomes aware of any errors or omissions <br /> in the Contract Documents or in the Owner's field work, he or she shall immediately <br /> inform the Owner's Representative in writing. The Owner's Representative will <br /> promptly review the matter and if he or she finds an error or omission has been made, <br /> then he or she will determine the corrective actions and advise the Contractor <br /> accordingly. If the corrective work associated with an error or omission significantly <br /> increases or decreases the amount of Work called for in the Contract, the Owner will <br /> issue an appropriate Change Order.
