I <br /> I <br /> & ASSOCIATES, INC. <br /> GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERING • ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING <br /> CONSTRUCTION TESTING & INSPECTION <br /> May 7,2020 KA Project No. 092-20006 <br /> DRAFT <br /> GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERING INVESTIGATION <br /> WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT"V" <br /> UP NO.3730 <br /> EVERETT,WASHINGTON <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> This report presents the results of our geotechnical engineering investigation for the proposed Water <br /> Main Replacement "V" in Everett, WA. The proposed construction will be located in the following <br /> three areas: <br /> • Olympic Boulevard and Ridgemont Drive, from West Mukilteo Boulevard to 4428 <br /> Ridgemont Drive; <br /> • Pine Street from Hewitt Avenue to 25th Street; <br /> • Wetmore Avenue from 10th Street to 7th Street. <br /> The three proposed construction areas are shown on the Vicinity Map in Figure 1. Discussions <br /> regarding site conditions are presented in this report, together with conclusions and geotechnical <br /> engineering recommendations pertaining to site preparation, excavations, temporary shoring, pipe <br /> bedding,utility trench backfill, and erosion control. <br /> Schematic site plans showing the approximate exploratory boring locations can be found in Figures 2 <br /> through 4 following the text of this report. Appendix A includes USCS soil classification information,a <br /> description of the field investigation, and the exploratory soil boring logs. Appendix B contains a guide <br /> to aid in the development of earthwork specifications.
