1 <br /> CITY OF EVERETT SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br /> fittings; trench excavation, backfill and compaction; street pavement, concrete curb, <br /> concrete curb and gutter, concrete driveway and concrete sidewalk removal; clearing and <br /> grubbing; testing; lawn restoration including seeding or sodding; connection to existing <br /> service line including fittings and new pipe matching existing diameter and material; <br /> dewatering; and removal or abandonment of existing service connection. <br /> Bid Item 37 - New Meter Box I; <br /> Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Each (EA) <br /> The unit contract price for New Meter Box (EA), shall constitute full compensation for all <br /> labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary to furnish and install new meter box, <br /> including yet not limited to, excavation, backfill and compaction; street pavement, concrete <br /> curb, concrete curb and gutter, concrete driveway and concrete sidewalk removal; clearing <br /> and grubbing; testing; lawn restoration including seeding or sodding; dewatering; and <br /> removal, haul and disposal or abandonment of existing meter box. Salvage existing meter <br /> box when requested by the City. <br /> Bid Item 38 - Topsoil, Type A and Seeding I <br /> Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Square Yard (SY) <br /> Measurement for providing 4-inch thick Topsoil, Type A shall be limited to dimensions and <br /> work limits defined in the work descriptions for other bid items, shown on the Plans, details <br /> or COE Standard Drawings or as otherwise approved by the Engineer. <br /> The unit price per square yard for Topsoil, Type A & Seeding shall be full compensation for <br /> all labor, compaction, material, tools, and equipment necessary to provide compacted 4 <br /> inches thick imported Topsoil, Type A for the Work as required, from a Contractor-supplied <br /> source in accordance with the Standard Specifications and these Special Provisions. <br /> The unit price for Topsoil, Type A & Seeding includes all costs for hauling, stockpiling, <br /> placing, grading, compacting, seeding, and controlling moisture content. <br /> Also to be included in this bid item shall be the cost of all subgrade preparation and grader <br /> work, or any other equipment required to establish correct surfaces to proper grade before <br /> the topsoil is placed, as well as all equipment required to spread and compact the topsoil <br /> uniformly on the surface to be seeded. Also included shall be the costs for removing, <br /> loading, hauling, and disposing of unsuitable or displaced materials. <br /> Include cost of sprinkling during dry periods prior to placement of the topsoil and while <br /> spreading and compacting the material along with turf establishment in the unit price for <br /> this bid item. <br /> Payment for Topsoil, Type A& Seeding will be determined by the square yard as measured <br /> in place. <br /> Bid Item 39 - Monument Cases ' <br /> Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Each (EA) <br /> The unit price per each for monument case shall be full compensation for furnishing and <br /> placing the survey monument and monument case and cover, in accordance with the COE <br /> Standard Drawings, Standard Specifications and these Special Provisions, in conformity <br /> with the lines and locations shown on the Plans. <br /> Bid Item 40 - Temporary Pavement Patch <br /> Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Lump Sum (LS) <br /> No measurement will be made for the lump sum item Temporary RoadwayPatch. <br /> Water Main Replacement"V" Division B—BID DESCRIPTIONS April 2021 <br /> WO No.—UP3730 SP -12 <br /> I <br />
