9.1.7. Design Interpretation — additional general coordination with Contractor outside <br /> the RFI, changes and submittal review process. Up to 30 hours of support are <br /> anticipated. <br /> 9.1.8. Arc Flash Analysis — complete arc flash research and calculations, prepare <br /> labels and apply to power equipment enclosures <br /> 9.2.Construction Support — Force Main <br /> 9.2.1. Preconstruction Conference — attend and lead or support pre-construction <br /> conference at City between City and contractor, including preparation of meeting <br /> summary. <br /> 9.2.2. Shop Drawings and Submittal Review — Review contractor's shop drawing and <br /> construction method submittals for conformance with project documents. Up to <br /> 10 original and re-submittals are anticipated. <br /> 9.2.3. RFI Response —review requests for information from contractor. Coordinate <br /> review with City staff including update of master log, and electrical and controls <br /> sub-consultant. Up to five are anticipated. <br /> 9.2.4. Construction Meetings — support four bi-weekly construction meetings via Zoom <br /> or similar remote meeting platform between City and contractor and conduct up to <br /> two construction meetings in person at City or project site. <br /> 9.2.5. Limited Construction Observation as requested by City <br /> 9.2.5.1. Perform up to two site visits and provide up to eight hours of general <br /> office consultations for review of specific conditions and general progress <br /> monitoring. Site visits shall be documented by written report, related <br /> sketches, and digital photos. <br /> 9.2.6. Changes, Force Account and Change Orders - review miscellaneous work/force <br /> account bid item activities with City as requested. Prepare changes initiated by <br /> the City/Engineer in the form of Engineer's Supplemental Instructions (ESIs) for <br /> no cost changes. Review Change Order Proposals (COPs) from Contractor <br /> whether in response to an RFI/ESI/COP or Contractor initiated. Up to three ESIs <br /> and two COPs are anticipated. <br /> 9.2.7. Design Interpretation — additional general coordination with Contractor outside <br /> the RFI, changes and submittal review process. Up to 12 hours of support are <br /> anticipated. <br /> 10.Management Reserve <br /> 10.1. Tasks not included in Items 5 through 9 of the Scope of Work but that may be <br /> authorized by the City on a time and expense basis to support completion of the design, <br /> bidding and/or construction support services phase of the work. <br /> Assumptions: <br /> • The design phase services are anticipated to be accomplished in four months of services. <br /> • The City will be the SEPA Lead Agency and City staff will prepare the SEPA checklist and <br /> assemble and distribute the SEPA threshold determination (with limited support as <br /> indicated in the Scope of Work). <br /> • The only required permits for this project are the electrical, demolition or mechanical permits <br /> to be obtained by the contractor. <br /> • If required, the City will submit the final plans and specifications to the State Department of <br /> Ecology for review and approval. <br /> David Evans and Associates, Inc.
