Compatibility of proposed structures and improvements with surrounding properties, including
the size, height, location, setback and arrangement of all proposed buildings and facilities,
especially as they relate to light and shadow impacts on more sensitive land uses and less
intensive zones.
Finding: The structure is atypical utility pole with attached conduit. The slim profile will not generate
significant impacts with respect to light and shadow. It replaces an existing utility pole at the same
location.
Supporting equipment will be screened from view from the street and nearby properties by an existing
solid wood fence.
6. The number, size and location of signs, especially as they relate to more sensitive land uses.
Finding: Small informational signs will be placed on the fence on the north side of the equipment.
Given their small size and orientation, the visibility of these signs from the street and nearby properties
will be limited.
i. The landscaping, buffering and screening of buildings, parking, loading and storage areas,
especially as they relate to more sensitive land uses.
Finding: Existing solid wood fencing will screen the ground mounted equipment from nearby
residential properties. There is a strip of land between the fence and sidewalk which does not have any
landscaping.
8. The generation of nuisance irritants such as noise, smoke, dust, odor, glare, visual blight or
other undesirable impacts.
Finding: The facility will not result in any new fighting, and pole installed equipment will be painted
brown with a non -reflective, non -glare matte finish. The on -site generator will operate only during
emergencies and periodic tests.
9. Consistency with the goals and policies of the Everett General Plan for the area and land use
designation in which the property is located.
Findin : The site is designated 2.1 Schools/Churches on the City of Everett's Comprehensive Plan
map.
10.
