Project Limits: Fulton, Pine, Maple Streets, or midblock alley connections between California <br /> Street and Hewitt Avenue. <br /> Project Elements: Provide a bicycle facility connecting California Street and Hewitt Avenue on <br /> one of the three streets in the project limits. Bicycle facility shall consist of pavement markings, <br /> signage, wayfinding signage and may include vertical elements (concrete or physical devices) in <br /> buffers, curbed shared use path/sidewalks, stop control, signal, or signal modifications depending <br /> on the preferred alternative. Provide sidewalk in any sidewalk gaps on both sides of the road <br /> within the project limits. Upgrade all ADA ramps within the project limits which do not meet <br /> current ADA standards. <br /> Segment C: Hewitt Avenue to US 2 Multimodal Improvements <br /> Project Limits: Hewitt Avenue between the California Street to Hewitt Avenue Connection and the <br /> US 2 trail east of 1-5. <br /> Project Elements: Provide bicycle facilities on Hewitt Avenue connecting the California Street to <br /> Hewitt Avenue connection along Hewitt Avenue, under Interstate 5 and connecting to the existing <br /> US 2 trail entrance on the east side of the US 2 on-ramp from Hewitt Avenue. Bicycle facility shall <br /> consist of pavement markings, signage, wayfinding signage, and may include vertical elements <br /> (concrete or physical devices) in buffers, signals, signal modifications or rectangular rapid <br /> flashing beacons depending on the preferred alternative. Provide sidewalk in any sidewalk gaps <br /> on both sides of the road within the project limits. Upgrade all ADA ramps within the project limits <br /> which do not meet current ADA standards. <br /> Assumptions <br /> The Consultant has developed this scope with the following assumptions. <br /> This Scope of Services assumes the following: <br /> • Computer Aided Drafting (CAD)will be performed using AutoCAD version 2019. CAD files will be <br /> provided to the City at the completion of each phase. <br /> • All other deliverables besides the CAD files will be provided electronically via PDF and in their <br /> original file format. <br /> • City of Everett Design and Construction Standards and CAD standards will be used as a starting <br /> point for preparing design concepts and throughout project development. <br /> • The City will provide to the consultant all CAD standard files, existing survey data, and any <br /> relevant GIS data. <br /> • A conceptual design will be identified via the tasks in Phase 1 and subsequent phases will be <br /> revisited following the identification of a preferred alternative to confirm the scope and fee match <br /> the Consultant's estimated level of effort based on the preferred alternative. <br /> • Translation services for stakeholder and public outreach are not required <br /> Phase 1 — Preliminary Analysis and Design <br /> The first phase of the project is focused on identifying a range of alternatives to connect the intersection <br /> of California and Broadway with the US 2 trail near the intersection of the US 2 eastbound ramp at Hewitt <br /> Avenue and Chestnut Street.
