The occupant <br />load should be increased for the three smaller areas. <br />W)j,tt,(�a,IV <br />V& The General Table Area is an assembly space with an occupant load exceeding 49. The <br />yyy occupant load shall be posted near the main exit from the space. See IBC Section 1004.3. <br />8. The General Table Area is an assembly space with an occupant load exceeding 49. The exit <br />doors at the Entry and between the Lounge and Office 2 shall be provided with panic <br />! hardware. See IBC Section 1010.1.10. <br />9. The exits at the Entry and between the Lounge and Office 2 are not readily visible from the <br />General Table Area. Additional exit signs with directional arrows shall be provided to clearly <br />identify the egress path. See IBC Section 1013. <br />10. Means of egress illumination shall be specified per IBC Section 1008.2. The lighting shall <br />require a supply power per IBC Section 1008.3.4. <br />11. The exterior landings for doorways serving a space or area with an occupant load of 50 or <br />more shall be provided with emergency lighting. The construction drawings shall specify a <br />power supply complying with IBC Section 1008.3.4. See IBC Sections 1008.3.2 Item 5 and <br />1010.1.6. <br />12. The stairway at the northeast corner of the building must provide the second egress due to <br />V!Vj4Q!'( egress spacing requirements of IBC Section 1007.1.1. The following comments shall be <br />v ddressed: <br />y <br />. The stairway shall be provided with exit signage including direction arrows per IBC Section <br />1013. Signs shall be provided at the top and bottom of the stairs and over the First Floor <br />exit door as needed. <br />b. Interior means of egress illumination shall be provided per IBC Sections 1008.2 and <br />1008.3.4. <br />c. Exterior means of egress illumination shall be provided per IBC Sections 1008.3.2 Item 5, <br />and 1008.3.4. <br />d. Handrails shall be provided complying with IBC Section 1011.11. <br />F 13. Exit signs with raised characters and braille shall be provided at both egress doors from the <br />re► General Table Area, the base of the stairs in the northeast corner of the building, and the First <br />Floor exit at the top of the stairs. See IBC Section 1013.4 and ICC A117.1-09 Section 703. <br />14. Door Types A and C, providing access to Hallway 1, include locksets per the Door Schedule on <br />Sheet 1-of-2. In addition, Door Type C includes a deadbolt. Egress doors shall be readily <br />openable from the egress side with the use of a key per IBC Section 1010.1.9. Egress from <br />Hallway 1 may be inhibited, particularly if Classroom 1 is not part of the cafe tenant space. <br />The limits of the tenant space and the intended egress paths should be clarified.
