The Partial Floor Plan on Sheet 1-of-2 specifies two new openings in the existing structural wall <br />at the northwest corner of the building. The following comments shall be addressed: <br />F, a. An analysis shall be performed evaluating the impact of the openings on the gravity and <br />lateral performance of the buildings. See IEBC Sections 807.4 and 807.5. <br />b. New structural elements required to construct the opening shall be designed per IEBC <br />Section 807.2. Framing members and details for connections shall be included in the <br />construction drawings. Calculations substantiating the design of the structural systems <br />shall be submitted for review. See IBC Sections 1603.1 and 1604.1. <br />2. Details for the connections of the walls to the floors at the bottom and top of the walls shall be <br />provided in the drawings. The connections shall be capable of resisting a 5 psf lateral force on <br />the walls. See IBC Section 1607.14. <br />This review has been performed for general compliance with the building codes as adopted and <br />amended by the state of Washington and the city of Everett. Corrections and comments made <br />during the review process do not relieve the project from compliance with code and permit <br />requirements.
