Egress from Hallway 1 may be inhibited, particularly if <br />Classroom 1 is not part of the cafe tenant space. It is noted that Note 3 under "Door & <br />Window Notes" specifies signage for the main exit doors per IBC Section 1010.1.9.3 Item 2. <br />Similar signage may be specified for Door C. The limits of the tenant space and the <br />intended egress paths should be clarified. The locks should be removed as needed to <br />provide the required uninhibited egress from Hallway 1. <br />Accessibility: <br />15. No additional comment. <br />16. No additional comment. <br />17. No additional comment. <br />18. No additional comment. <br />Energy: <br />19. This comment has not been completely addressed. The following comments shall be <br />addressed: <br />a. The Partial Floor Plan on Sheet 1-of-2 provides two notes for the replaced exterior <br />windows. It is recommended that the maximum thermal rating of U=0.3 be stated for <br />both comments. <br />b. The note along the north exterior wall states to replace five windows. The note should <br />be revised to state six windows. <br />c. The north wall includes replacement of a door with a window. The note should clarify if <br />infill of the wall is required to match the adjacent window sizes. A detail shall be <br />included for this location. The infill construction shall be non-combustible construction <br />and provide the required thermal rating for an exterior wall. <br />Miscellaneous: <br />20. This comment has not been completely addressed. The original comment addressed a <br />window replacement located on the north exterior wall of the building The plans have been <br />revised to specify six window replacements. The following comments shall be addressed: <br />a. The note specifies five windows. The note shall verify if all six windows will require <br />safety glazing per IBC Section 2406.4.3. . <br />b. All replacement windows shall have a maximum thermal rating of U=0.3per WSEC-15 <br />Table C402.4. <br />21. This comment has not been completely addressed. Multiple rooms in the space have <br />windows near the doors. See IBC Section 2406.4.2. The following comments shall be <br />addressed: <br />a. No additional comment. <br />b. The window in Classroom 2 is close to the door. The Partial Floor Plan on Sheet 1-of-2 <br />specifies installation of an existing window.
