Based on the indicators observed, the area mapped as Wetland B meets the vegetation, soils, and <br />hydrology criteria for wetland. <br />Figure 3-Wedand B. (Left photo facing northwest, right photo facing southeast. <br />Ifetland C <br />Cowardin classification: Palustrine, Forested, Broad-leaved deciduous, Saturated <br />HGM Rating classification: Slope <br />City of Everett/Ecology classification: Category III (17 points, habitat score = 5) <br />Standard Buffer: 80 feet <br />Wetland C is a slope wetland per the HGM classification system (Brinson 1993). The on -site <br />portion of Wetland C is 1,470 square feet. Wetland C extends off -site to the south within the <br />riparian corridor of Stream A. <br />Vegetation within Wetland C is dominated by Western red cedar (7huja plicata, FAC), red alder <br />(Alnus rubra, FAC), salmonberry (Rubus spectabilis, FAC), creeping buttercup (Ranunculus repens; <br />FAC), lady fern (Athyrium filix femina; FAC), Skunk cabbage (Lysichiton americanus, OBL), jewelweed <br />(Impatiens sp.; FACW), and field horsetail (Equisetum aroense; FAC). Vegetation in the area mapped <br />as Wetland C rates FAC or wetter, indicating that a hydrophytic plant community is present. <br />Soils in Wetland C are typically very dark brown (IOYR 2/2) with a silty clay loam texture in the <br />upper 8 inches.
