T • • <br />3) Volume 2 of the plans submitted that contain the electrical plans only included sheets <br />VT01 & VT02. The means of egress Illumination and emergency power requirements of <br />Section 1008 have not been reviewed for compliance as of yet. <br />4) A two-way communication system should be shown at each landing of the elevator bank <br />above or below the level of exit discharge in accordance with Section 1009.8. The system <br />and direction requirements should also be shown. <br />5) Doors ST4-1, ST2-1, ST2-1A, ST1-1A, ST1-B, 2400, 2221, 3400, 4222, ST1-4A & 4600A <br />should be shown with panic hardware unless no lock or latch is provided. Section <br />1010.1.10 <br />6) Door 4600B should swing in the direction of travel (even though it is not a required exit). <br />Section 1010.1 <br />7) The stairs to the Marshal Station should be shown with handrails (with extensions) on <br />each side. Section 1011.11 <br />8) Braille exit signs complying with ICC A117.1 should be shown adjacent to each exit <br />stairway and exit discharge. Section 1013.4 <br />9) The guards shown in Detail 11 op Sheet L-312 should be shown to prevent the passage <br />of a 4" sphere (to include a conservative amount of material deflection). Section 1015.4 <br />10)All (new) doors into Stair #2 should be shown as minimum 90-minute rated assemblies. <br />Section 1023.4 <br />11)The glazing separating the entry lobby and the exterior landing of the new stairway (ST- <br />1 first floor) is part of the stair enclosure and should be shown protected for minimum <br />two-hour, fire -resistive construction. Section 1023.2 <br />12)The exterior wall along construction line 18.1 that is 90 degrees to stairs ST-1 should be <br />shown as minimum one hour construction (with 3/4 hour opening protection) on each floor <br />(currently only 2"d floor specified) for a minimum distance of 10 feet from the stairs. <br />Section 1023.7 <br />Accessibility <br />1) It should be shown that Doors 4621B & 5500B have a minimum of 18" clear on the pull <br />side. ANSI Section 404.2.3 <br />2) It should be shown that the toilet partitions that have grab bars attached to them are able <br />to support the additional 250# concentrated load as required by Section 1607.8.2. <br />3) The bottom edge of the vision lites in the doors shown on Sheet I-610 should be shown <br />no higher than 43 inches maximum above the floor.
