Response:Each elevator lobby in the addition does have two-way communications (intercom)that reports to master station located in new main entrance vestibule in the addition. We are not showing these in the existing building elevator lobbies. 5) Doors ST4-1, ST2-1,ST2-1A,ST1-B, 2400, 2221,3400, 4222, ST1-4A&4600a should be shown with panic hardware unless no lock or latch is provided.Section 1010.1.10 Response:Panic hardware(note#4 "Exit Device"in the Door Schedule Notes and Legend) for these doors have been added to the Door Schedule on sheets 1-601&1-602. 6) Door 4600B should swing in the direction of travel (even though it is not a required exit). Section1010.1 Response: The door swing has been changed. Refer to Sheet IF-104. • 7) The stairs to the Marshal Station should be shown with handrails(with extensions)on each side.Section 1011.11 Response: Due to the limited width and limited occupant load, this was considered an aisle in the main lobby Assembly space. In accordance with IBC 1029.16, stepped aisles require a handrail on one or both sides. 8) Braille exit signs complying with ICC A117.1 should be shown adjacent to each exit stairway and exit discharge.Section 1013.4 Response:Braille exit sign elevations, details and messages have been shown on revised detail Sheets IG-201 and IG-202. Sign location plans have been updated to show the placement of each sign at exits. 9) The guards shown in Detail 11 on Sheet L-312 should be shown to prevent the passage of a 4"sphere(to include a conservative amount of material deflection).Section 1015.4 Response: The cable infill rails will be spaced at 4"apart. Dimensions have been added to the detail to reflect this. 10)All (new)doors into Stair#2 should be shown as minimum 90-minute rated assemblies. Section 1023.4 Response:All of the doors going into Stair#2 are reworked for new hardware and/or relocated existing doors. •
