Where the walls are not continuous to the structural floor system <br /> above, bracing shall be provided. Alternatively, short walls braced at each end by <br /> intersecting orthogonal walls may be supported by continuous top plates. All connections, <br /> bracing, and supporting framng shall be capable of resisting a 5 psf lateral force on the <br /> walls. See IBC Section 1607.14. <br /> This review has been performed for general compliance with the building codes as adopted and <br /> amended by the state of Washington and the city of Everett. Corrections and comments made <br /> during the review process do not relieve the project from compliance with code and permit <br /> requirements.
