The General Information on Sheet A0.01 includes a section titled"Applicable Codes for New York". This section <br /> shall be revised to reference the city of Everett. The list of codes shall be reviewed and revised as needed. See the <br /> Everett Municipal Code Section 16.005.030 and IBC Section 107..2.1. <br /> Response: Please re-read the section and you will find it says Applicable Codes for New Work. The <br /> list of applicable codes meets section 6.005.030 of the Everett Municipal Code. <br /> 2. Work on existing buildings shall comply with the IEBC. The IEBC provides three alternative methods for performing <br /> work:the Prescriptive Compliance Method(Section 301.1.1),the Work Area Method(301.1.2), and the <br /> Performance Compliance Method(301.1.3). The method selected for the project should be specified in the General <br /> Information on SheetA0.01. A statement should be provided clarifying the types of work that are included in the <br /> project(e.g.,repairs,additions,change of occupancy,etc.)and referencing the appropriate IEBC sections. The <br /> comments provided herein presume the project will comply with the Work Area Method of Chapter 5. Based on a <br /> review of the construction drawings, the proposed project appears to include the following work:Level 2 <br /> Alternations(Chapter 8). Additional and alternative types of work required for the project shall be identified by the <br /> designer-of-record. Additional comments may be pending. See IBC Section 101.4.7, IEBC Sections 301.1,and 504. <br /> Response:This project will be using the work area method and will be a level 2 alteration,please see <br /> sheet A0.01 for this listed under project data and for the statement of work to the existing building. <br /> 3. The "Sheet Index"section on Sheet A0.01 indicates the construction drawings includes Sheet A2.11;the sheet is not <br /> included in the submitted drawings. Sheet A2.11 is also referenced on Sheet A2.01. The drawing shall be submitted <br /> for review. See IBC Section 107.2.1. <br /> Response: Please see the drawing set submitted with this letter,A2.11 is included. <br /> Fire Protection: <br /> 4. The"Project Data"section of Sheet A0.01 states that the building does not include a sprinkler system. Sheet A0.01 <br /> shall also indicate if the building includes an existing fire alarm system.
