Elevation 4/A2.2 specifies to relocate an existing exterior door with glazing to this location. <br />The following comments shall be addressed: <br />a. The glazing in the door and adjacent windows shall have safety glazing per IBC Sections <br />2406.4.1 and 2406.4.2. 1 <br />b. The door shall have a maximum thermal rating of U=0.6 per WSEC-15 Table C402.4. <br />See WSEC Section C503.1. <br />18. Detail 9/A2.4 specifies the typical interior wall construction. The following comments shall <br />be addressed: <br />a. Connection details betwe n the top and bottom of the walls and the existing structure <br />shall be provided. The too -of -wall connections shall be directly connected to structural <br />framing; the walls shall n t be laterally supported by connection to the GWB only. The <br />connections shall be desig ed for the loads per IBC Section 1607.14. <br />b. Details for reconstruction f the 1-hour membrane shall be provided where it is removed <br />to install braces and frami g to support the walls. <br />c. The details shall specify the bottom sill plates to be preservative -treated or naturally - <br />durable wood per IBC Section 2304.12.1.4. <br />Structural <br />1. No comments. <br />This review has been performed for general compliance with the building codes as adopted and <br />amended by the state of Washington and the city of Everett. Corrections and comments made <br />during the review process do not relieve the project from compliance with code and permit <br />requirements.
