Occupant load increase: <br />The occupant load for the building appears to have increased by more than 20%. Additional <br />plumbing fixtures shall be provided as required by code per IEBC Section 810. Note that <br />IBC Chapter 29 shall govern in lieu of the referenced /PC, which has not been adopted by <br />the Washington State Building Code. The building shall be provided with drinking fountains <br />per IBC Sections 2902.5. The fountains shall satisfy the accessibility requirements of IBC <br />Section 1109.5. <br />Sheet A2.1: A dual -fixture, accessible drinking fountain has been added. Please also see <br />the Plumbing Fixture Calculation on Sheet T1.2. <br />17. Relocation of existing door: <br />The following comments shall be addressed: <br />a. The glazing in the door and adjacent windows shall have safety glazing per IBC Sections <br />2406.4.1 and 2406.4.2. <br />b. The door shall have a maximum thermal rating of U=0.6 per WSEC-15 Table C402.4. <br />See WSEC Section C503.1. <br />Sheet A2.2: Door 115 is now proposed as a new door with a U-value of 0.60 or better. <br />18. Details for typical interior wall construction: <br />Detail 9/A2.4 specifies the typical interior wall construction. The following comments shall <br />be addressed: <br />a. Connection details between the top and bottom of the walls and the existing structure <br />shall be provided. The top -of -wall connections shall be directly connected to structural <br />framing, the walls shall not be laterally supported by connection to the GWB only. The <br />connections shall be designed for the loads per IBC Section 1607.14. <br />b. Details for reconstruction of the 1-hour membrane shall be provided where it is removed <br />to install braces and framing to support the walls. <br />c. The details shall specify the bottom sill plates to be preservative -treated or naturally <br />durable wood per IBC Section 2304.12.1.4. <br />Sheet A2.4: Detail 10-A2.4 indicates the details for the bottom and top of new interior <br />partition walls. It shows a pressure -treated bottom plate against the existing concrete slab, <br />and the existing continuous 1 hr ceiling assembly above.
