The provision of panic hardware at this door has been added to the Interior Door Schedule, Sheet A2.2. Sheet A2.1: The missing ID tag for Door 105a has been added to the floor plan. Sheet A2.1: Keynotes have been added at doors 108-1 and 108-2 requiring maximum occupancy signs for both halves of the multipurpose room. 6. Exiting through room 105: This comment has not been completely addressed. The original comment addressed the occupant load and egress requirements for Rooms 100 through 103. The response revised the occupant load for this area below the limit requiring two exits. Sheet T1.2 specifies a second exit through Room 105, and Sheet A2.1 specifies an exit sign at the interior door for this room. The exit is not required, and exiting through this room is not permitted, the sign should be removed. See IBC Section 1016.2 Item 2. Environmental Works maintains that, per IBC 1006.2.1, Number of Exits and Exit Access Doorways, the cumulative load in the lobby area, exceeding 49 occupants, requires two exits, and that per IBC 1016.2, Egress Through Intervening Spaces, an egress path through Meeting Room 105 is code compliant. Please see attached email correspondence with code and code commentary excerpts, included per your request. 7. Intermediate exit signs: This comment has not been completely addressed. The original comment stated that intermediate exit signs shall be provided where door signs are not readily visible. A sign shall be provided in the Floor Plan on Sheet A2.1 near the Staff Desk. The sign shall be viewable from Hallway 107 and provide an arrow pointing towards Door 100. Note that the sign indicated near Door 115a is not required. See IBC Section 1013.1. Sheet A2.1: The keynote indicating directional egress signage at Door 115a has been removed and a new keynote has been added on the wall above the reception desk, visible from Hall 107, and pointing south toward egress/entry Door 100. 8. Egress lighting locations: This comment has not been completely addressed. The original comment stated that means -of -egress illumination shall be provided per IBC Section 1008, and shall specify a minimum 90-minute uninterrupted supply power per IBC Section 1008.3.4. Notes have been added to Sheet T1.2 in response. However, this is not sufficient to indicate where the lighting must be provided. A ceiling plan shall be provided specifying the egress lighting locations. See IBC Section 107.2.1. Sheet A2.1: A symbol for emergency egress lighting has been added to the Floor Plan Legend, Sheet A2.1, and proposed locations for both interior egress lighting fixtures as well as exterior emergency lighting fixtures with 90 minute emergency power per IBC 1008 have been indicated on the floor plan. We hope this will adequately communicate proposed locations of emergency egress lighting, instead of providing a Reflected Ceiling Plan.
