Element 4: Install Sediment Controls (2.1.4) <br />List and describe BMPs: Silt Fence — COE BMP 214. Will be installed at the perimeter of <br />the work area where downgradient of construction. Silt fence will <br />help to filter sediment laden runoff at the perimeter and to prevent <br />erosion over the slope. <br />Interceptor Ditch - BMP C200. Will be constructed to convey the <br />majority of sediment -laden runoff to the sediment trap. Only a <br />small portion of sediment -laden runoff will reach the silt fence at <br />the perimeter. <br />Sediment Trap — BMP C240. Will promote settling of any <br />concentrated sediment -laden runoff in the sediment trap. <br />Catch Basin Inserts — COE BMP 210. Will be installed in catch <br />basins to reduce the amount of sediment reaching the river. <br />Installation Schedules: All BMPs must be installed prior to earthwork activities; however, if <br />all work can be completed during dry weather and permission is <br />granted by the city of Everett inspector prior commencement of <br />work, the sediment trap and interceptor ditches may be omitted. <br />Inspection and Maintenance plan: Inspect all above BMPs weekly and after each rainfall <br />event. <br />Responsible Staff: Contractor's CESCL — TBD. <br />
