0
MR #2 Construction Stormwater Pollution Prevention
(SWPPP)
All new development and redevelopment projects are responsible for preventing erosion and discharge of
sediment and other pollutants into receiving waters. A Construction Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan
(Construction SWPPP) is designed to be a stand-alone document that addresses construction stormwater
management concerns. A copy of this SWPPP is required to be kept by the contractor performing the work at
the jobsite for reference and updated during the duration of construction.
Task 1: Describe the project during construction
(You may attach a narrative that answers the following questions)
Nature and purpose of the construction project:
The project proposes to add two new portable buildings to be located in an existing asphalt pavement area. The purpose of
the project is to add classroom capacity at the school.
Adjacent areas, including streams, lakes, wetlands, residential areas, and roads that might be
affected by the construction project:
There are no streams, lakes, wetlands, residential areas, or roads adjacent to the site or project that will be affected by the
proposed project.
How upstream drainage areas may affect the site:
Drainage areas upstream of the site include existing asphalt pavement. This pavement area will continue to sheet flow sou
to the existing catch basins as it does in the existing condition. We do not anticipate the upstream drainage area will be
affected by the proposed project.
Downstream drainage leading from the site to a receiving body of water:
Stormwater that is collected at one of the existing catch basins is conveyed in underground pipe to a manhole located near
the southwestern corner of the asphalt play area. From this manhole site records show the system flowing southwest for
aproximately 160 feet ti daylight at an outfall along the western property line. adjacent to the existing baseball field. Thou;
the outfall was not found during the site visit, evidence of an overgrown ditch flowing south along the west property line
was observed. Information from the City of Everett indicates that flows can be presumed to continue southwest, and
ultimately outfall at a tributary to Swamp Creek.
Critical areas that receive runoff from the site up to one -quarter mile away:
There are no critical areas that receive runoff from the site within one -quarter mile away.
Special requirements and provisions for working near or within critical areas:
Not applicable
City of Everett Public Works
Small Project Stormwater Site Plan Report -Dec 2079
