;%PERTEET
MEMORANDUM
2707 Colby Avenue, Suite 900, Everett, WA 98201 1 P 425.252.7700
To: City of Everett
From: Jason Walker, PLA, PWS, Environmental Manager, Perteet
Date: June 1, 2018
Re: Everett Station Park and Ride Expansion ADA Parking Stall Compliance
For the purpose of City review of ADA parking spaces, The Everett Station Park and Ride Expansion proposes
adding an additional 90 parking stalls in the project site, bringing the total number of stalls to 721 for the entre
(off site) transit facility and without the Sound Transit lot included, and 1,153 with the Sound Transit lot included.
Per PROWAG 2011 Section F208.2 this would require 15 or 22 total (Standard + Van) ADA accessible stalls
respectively for the entire transit facility.
No new ADA stalls will be provided in the Everett Station Park and Ride Expansion site since they are not
necessary and this expanded parking lot does not occur directly adjacent to any transit facilities to make ADA
stalls and accessibility functional in this area for this expansion.
As documented in the attached emails, the total existing accessible (ADA) parking supply currently exceeds ADA
parking requirements and will continue to meet and exceed facility -wide ADA parking requirements after the
expansion project is completed. Existing ADA stalls in the overall facility were also verified to be van accessible by
ET staff.
Emails attached.
File location XAEverett, City of\Projects\20170146 - Evt Station P&R Expansion\Environmental\PW Permit Docs\Everett Station Expansion - ADA
Parking Memorandum.docx
9/
