The Second Floor includes the addition of multiple new headers that are not specified in the drawings. Missing headers include, but are not limited to, the bathroom windows in the southeast corner of the building and the master bedroom windows in the east exterior wall. 6. The project includes infill wall framing at multiple locations, including but not limited to, the north and south garage walls and infill of the original guest bedroom window at the southeast corner of the building. The structural drawings should include typical details for the construction of the walls. See IBC Sections 107.2.1 and 1603.1. The details should include, but are not limited to, the following information: a. Framing size and spacing, including infill above and below window and door openings. b. Top and bottom sill plate connections to the supporting framing, including the foundations. c. Anchor bolt requirements to foundations. d. Header spans and sizes, including connections to the vertical supports. e. Jamb and king studs to support the headers. f. Nailing requirements. g. Exterior wall sheathing, including nailing requirements. h. Specification of preservative-treated or naturally-durable wood where required. See IBC Sections 2304.12.1.2 and 2304.12.1.5. 7. The existing window for the Second Floor guest bedroom has been removed and infilled. A new window has been constructed directly adjacent to the infill area. The infill should be full-height between the floor and roof framing to transfer gravity and out-of-plane loading. See IBC Section 1604.4. 8. Detail F/S1 includes two alternative details for the connection of exterior deck to the main building. The structural drawings should clearly indicate the intended construction. The unused details should be removed. See IBC Sections 107.2.1 and 1603.1. 9. Sheet S1 includes notes for manufactured trusses, which do not appear to be included in the project. The location of trusses should be clarified. Alternatively, the notes shall be removed. See IBC Section 107.2.1. 10. Detail G/S1 shows a typical girder truss connection to supporting wall framing. The project does not appear to include girder trusses. The application of the detail should be specified, or the detail should be removed. Note that the detail appears to be referenced for the connection of the 5 1/2"GLB to the exterior wall corner; the detail should accurately show the intended conditions. See IBC Sections 107.2.1 and 1603.1. 11. Detail D/S1 shows a typical foundation for the exterior deck. It is understood from observations of the as-built conditions that the deck foundation construction does not comply with this detail. The detail shall be revised to show the actual construction of the foundation, or the foundation shall be rebuilt to comply with the detail. See IBC Sections 107.2.1 and 1603.1.
