• 1 2 3 DECLARATION OF TED DE BUDDEN 4 I, Ted de Budden, under penalty of perjury under the laws of the State of Washington, 5 declare as follows: 6 1. I am the Chief Inspector for the Building Division of the City of Everett(the"City"). 7 I have been in this role for approximately 14 years. Prior to this position, I was Building Inspector for the City for 16 years. 8 2. In my positions I am required to have and do have extensive knowledge of building 9 and construction industry practices, and the laws, rules, and regulations of 10 Washington State and the City. 11 3. On August 6, 2019, I conducted an inspection of reported construction activity at 844 Olympic Avenue in Everett, Washington(the "property"). 12 13 4. Observations I made from the front entry and driveway area included: a. A new elevated wooden deck structure is currently under construction in the 14 front of the residential house at the property. The deck structure is approximately 16 ft. by 20 ft. in size. 15 b. New sliding glass doors installed in the front of the house to access the newly 16 constructed deck. c. A newly constructed exterior wall erected in the rear portion of the house. It 17 appears to be to alter the existing carport into a garage. d. Newly installed electrical wiring and electrical equipment within the open 18 garage and at various locations on the exterior of the front of the house. e. New windows installed throughout the house with associated opening 19 alterations to the house. 20 £ New gypsum wallboard installed within the carport/garage area. g. I did not enter the house.
