rNovember 23,2021 <br /> Provide equipment, labor, tools, materials and miscellaneous parts to perform pavement <br /> sawing, pavement removal, excavations, shoring, traffic control and other Work required. <br /> Notify City Utility Department a minimum of five business days for each tap made. The <br /> Utility Department will determine the date and time to make each tap. <br /> Expose the main being tapped, including properly shoring the excavation in accordance with <br /> requirements of WISHA, RCW 49.17 including WAC 296-155. <br /> Where shown on the Plans, adjust existing valve boxes and covers to the grade as staked <br /> or otherwise designated by the Engineer. Using riser rings to adjust the valve box to grade <br /> is not allowed. <br /> Conduct removal operations conducted to prevent damage to the valve boxes. Replace <br /> parts or materials damaged due to the Contractor's operations at his expense. <br /> Conduct valve box adjustments so the final adjusted valve box allows full operation of the <br /> valve. Remove debris from the adjusted valve boxes to ensure full valve operation. <br /> ' Delete the third sentence of the first paragraph in 7-12.3(1) and substitute the following: <br /> Where shown on the Plans, provide valve marker post with the exposed portion having the <br /> letter "V" and the distance in feet to the valve stenciled in black paint on the post. Provide a <br /> two-inch-high stencil to produce the letters and numerals. <br /> Under Section 7-20 Sanitary Sewer Forcemains: <br /> Add the following to Section 7-20.2 Materials: <br /> Swing Check Valve (Wastewater) 9-30.3(2) Special Provisions <br /> Valve Boxes 9-30.3(4) Special Provisions <br /> Valve Stem Extensions 9-30.3(6) Special Provisions <br /> Combination Air Release/Vacuum Valve 9-30.3(7) Special Provisions <br /> All forcemain pipe, covers, casting, boxes, structures, and associated items shall be 200 KIP <br /> proof test load rated per AASHTO M306 and shall be designed to accommodate the Taylor <br /> "Big Red" THDC-978 Container Handler loading as shown on Plan Sheet C10. The <br /> Standard Plan references for underground utility structures including frames, rings, castings, <br /> an associated items are intended to provide interior geometry and intent only. The <br /> Contractor shall increase required reinforcing and wall thickness and change these items as <br /> required to accommodate loading criteria requirements. <br /> Under Section 7-20.3 Construction Requirements, add the following to Section 7-20.3(1): <br /> Forcemain valves, boxes, and assemblies shall be as shown on the plans, per City standard <br /> plans, and per section 7-12(3). <br /> DIVISION 9 — MATERIALS <br /> Under Section 9-30 Water Distribution Materials: <br /> i <br /> POE Combined Sewer Main Imp.
