CITY OF EVERETT SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br /> The Contract bid item quantity listed for this item is to provide a common Proposal for Bidders. In <br /> accordance with Section 1-04.6, no cost adjustments will be made for any variation in the bid item <br /> ' quantities. <br /> Bid Item 6 - Structure Excavation and Stockpiling, Incl. Haul <br /> Measurement and Payment: Cubic Yard (CY) <br /> This unit price bid item per cubic yard to the line, grade, and pipeline cross section neat limits as <br /> shown on the Plans and as detailed in the specifications and in compliance with the POE-NT soil <br /> and groundwater management plans. <br /> This bid item includes all costs associated with preparation, excavation, haul, and stockpiling <br /> including: <br /> 1. The costs for potholing and excavation required to determine exact depths and locations <br /> of other utilities shall be included with this Work. <br /> 2. Utility or light pole holding in conformance with the requirements of the applicable utility <br /> including, if necessary, arranging for the utility to hold poles and paying the associated <br /> fees. <br /> 3. Clearing and grubbing and removal of existing surfacing. This includes an existing gravel <br /> pad with geotextile. <br /> 4. Excavation, including extra depth required to clear known buried utilities or other known <br /> obstacles. Removal of structures or obstructions not specifically covered under other that <br /> bid item. <br /> 5. The project is located within managed cleanup sites. This work includes cooperation with <br /> the City provided Environmental Monitor and work necessary to facilitate soil and <br /> groundwater monitoring, provide required dust management and control measures and to <br /> comply with the POE-NT Soil and Groundwater Management Plans, environmental <br /> regulations, and in accordance with the project health and safety plan (HASP). Copies of <br /> the POE-NT referenced documents are provided in Appendix A <br /> 6. Haul to the temporary stockpile site at the PGSF Parking Lot. <br /> 7. Temporary stockpiling the excavated material into separate stockpiles as classified by the <br /> Engineer and the City's Environmental Monitor including: <br /> a. Preparation and submittal of a stockpiling plan. <br /> b. Clearing and preparation of the stockpile area <br /> c. Grading the stockpile site, including grading as needed to prevent stormwater from <br /> ' flowing into or draining from the stockpile(s). <br /> d. Providing separation and barriers between the stockpile floor and measures <br /> necessary to prevent spreading potential contamination. <br /> e. Covering and protection of the stockpiles from wind or water transport. <br /> f. Cleanup of the stockpile once the stockpiles are removed. <br /> 8. Trenching and excavation shall be as indicated on the Plans or as described in the <br /> specifications and in conformance with the POE-NT Soil and Groundwater management <br /> Plans, Geotechnical Reports, and state and local regulations. <br /> 9. Removal and handling and disposal of inert fill material, special industrial waste, and <br /> hazardous waste are provided for under their respective bid items and are not a part of this <br /> work. <br /> I <br /> POE Combined Sewer Main Imp.
