In <br /> accordance with Section 1-04.6, no cost adjustments will be made for any variation in the bid item <br /> quantities. <br /> I <br /> Bid Item 7 - Clean Fill and Native Exc. Backfill, and Compaction, Incl. Haul <br /> Measurement and Payment: Cubic Yard (CY) I <br /> The unit price per cubic yard to the line, grade, and pipeline cross section neat limits as shown on <br /> the Plans, as detailed in the specifications, in compliance with the POE-NT Cultural Resources <br /> Monitoring and Discovery Plan, POE-NT Soil and Groundwater Management Plans, and in <br /> accordance with the POE-NT Geotechnical Report. Copies of the POE-NT reports are in Appendix <br /> A. This work includes: <br /> 1. Excavation of native soils and clean fill materials, including extra depth required to clear <br /> known buried utilities or other known obstacles. Removal of structures or obstructions not <br /> specifically covered under other that bid item. <br /> 2. Native soil excavation within this project is located within an identified area of risk for finding I <br /> cultural and archeological sites. This work includes cooperation with the City provided <br /> Cultural Resource Monitor and measures necessary to facilitate cultural monitoring as <br /> detailed within Section 1-05.5 and in compliance with the POE-NT Cultural Resources 111 <br /> Monitoring and Discovery Plan. <br /> 3. The project is located within managed cleanup sites. This work includes cooperation with <br /> the City provided Environmental Monitor and measures necessary to facilitate soil and <br /> groundwater monitoring, provide required dust management and control measures and to <br /> comply with the POE-NT Soil and Groundwater Management Plans, environmental <br /> regulations, and in accordance with the project health and safety plan. Copies of the POE- <br /> NT referenced documents are provided in Appendix A. <br /> 4. Screening and processing to remove cobbles, debris, and material that is unsuitable or too <br /> large to meet the meet Gravel Borrow requirements. <br /> 5. Preparation, placement and compaction of the fill material within the excavation zone <br /> indicated on the Plan Cross Sections and as described within the project specifications. <br /> This work also includes. <br /> 6. Removal and handling and disposal of inert fill material, special industrial waste, and <br /> hazardous waste are provided for under their respective bid items and are not a part of <br /> this work. <br /> 7. It is the intent that excavated native and clean fill material be processed and used as backfill <br /> material within the active trench in the zone indicated on the Plan section details. <br /> 8. Covering and protection of temporary stockpiles left overnight or longer from wind or water <br /> transport. <br /> 9. This work does not include the removal, handling, and disposal of contaminated material. <br /> 10.
