<br /> Bid Item 20 - Combination Air Release/Air Vacuum Valve Assembly, 2 In. Diam. 111
<br /> Measurement and Payment: Each (EA)
<br /> The bid item includes all costs associated with furnishing the tools, labor, equipment, and materials
<br /> necessary or incidental to furnish and install a complete combination air release/air and vacuum
<br /> valve assembly for a CSO force main as described in 7-20 Sanitary Sewer Force Mains and as
<br /> detailed on the Plan, including installation of the power pole and anchorage of the vent pipe to the
<br /> pole. This item includes trenching, furnishing, installing, jointing, blocking of valve, pressure '
<br /> testing, valve box or chamber (as applicable per the Plans or relevant detail drawing) and marker
<br /> post. This item also includes furnishing, installing, compacting, and testing bedding and backfill
<br /> materials; constructing asphalt concrete pad around the valve box if necessary; cleanup; and any
<br /> additional work, materials, and equipment required to install the valves and assembly, except as
<br /> included in other unit price bids.
<br /> Bid Item 21 - Trench Excavation Safety Systems

<br /> Measurement and Payment: Lump Sum (LS)
<br /> Measurement for and payment for trench excavation safety systems shall be calculated based on
<br /> the ratio of pipe installed and backfilled to the total quantity of pipe listed on the Proposal.
<br /> The lump sum bid item includes the costs directly allocated to the safety system for trenches and
<br /> all other excavations including, but not limited to, shoring, benching, bracing, excavation, sheeting,
<br /> and trench box. This Work shall be accomplished in accordance with Divisions 1, 2, 7, and 8 of the
<br /> Standard Specifications and these Special Provisions. Payment per lump sum includes all
<br /> equipment, materials, labor, installation, and removal, and all other work required to meet the
<br /> trench excavation and safety system requirements.
<br /> Bid Item 22 - PVC Sanitary Sewer Pipe, 12 In. Diam.
<br /> Measurement and Payment: Linear Foot (LF)
<br /> Unit cost per linear foot pipe measurement shall be based on the slope distance from point to point.
<br /> The point of beginning or ending of measurement in any particular run of pipe shall be the vertical
<br /> intersection of the centerline of the pipe measured with the centerline of the intersection pipe, or
<br /> with the beginning or ending of any new linear length of valves or couplings contained within the
<br /> measured length. At changes in pipe size connected by a reducer, the point of measurement shall
<br /> be taken as the midpoint of the reducer.
<br /> The unit contract price shall constitute full compensation for all labor, materials, tools and
<br /> equipment necessary to furnish, install, pressure test and CCTV inspect the pipe, restrained joints
<br /> (where shown on the Plans or as required by the Standard Specifications and Special Provisions),
<br /> including all fittings, including tees, crosses, reducers, couplings, and sleeves required for
<br /> complete installation along the run of each pipe size, as shown on the Plans and specified herein,
<br /> and additionally, shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
