CITY OF EVERETT SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br /> 5. Temporary and permanent thrust blocking and dead man blocks, and temporary and <br /> permanent restraint systems. <br /> 6. Ethafoam pads or sand backfill between these installations and any existing watermains or <br /> other pipes encountered. <br /> 7. Maintenance of existing CSO pressure mains. <br /> 8. Maintenance, restoration and/or relocation, if required, of existing culverts, storm drainage <br /> pipe, other utilities and structures affected by construction that are to remain. <br /> 9. Abandonment of existing CSO pressure mains, where indicated on the Plans, including cutting, <br /> draining and properly disposing, and plugging pipe at each end with a minimum of 2-feet of <br /> Commercial concrete or CDF. Include the concrete or CDF work with this work with no direct <br /> compensation being made. <br /> 10. CCTV inspections and flushing and cleaning of the lines. <br /> 11. Trench excavation bedding and backfill will be paid for under Bid Item Structure Excavation 111 <br /> Class B, Incl. Haul and no separate payment will be made for this work. <br /> Partial Payments will be made for the per linear foot pipe contract price as follows: <br /> 1. A total of 15% of the total bid cost will be made based upon required material submittal and <br /> acceptance and procurement of the pipe. Payment will be prorated on a per LF basis of pipe <br /> procured to the total pipe quantity. <br /> 2. A total of 25% of the total bid cost will be made for delivery to the project or approved staging <br /> and storage area, inspection and acceptance of the pipes, and inspection and approval of the <br /> material storage method and location, by the Engineer. <br /> 3. The remainder of the payment will be made per linear foot of installed pipe for completion of <br /> installation, testing and acceptance, CCTV inspections, and flushing and cleaning of the lines <br /> of the installed pipes as described above. <br /> Bid Item 24 - Temporary Bypass Pumping <br /> Measurement and Payment: Lump Sum (LS) 1 <br /> The unit price for Temporary Bypass Pumping shall be full compensation for furnishing all material, <br /> equipment, tools, and labor necessary to complete the combined sewer bypass. This includes, <br /> but is not necessarily limited to: <br /> 1. Coordination, preparation, and submittal of the Bypass Pumping Plan as described in 7-20 <br /> Temporary Bypass Pumping. <br /> 2. Removal, replacement, modification or addition of manholes or parts thereof as may be allowed <br /> elsewhere in these specification and for which a specific bid item is not provided. <br /> 3. CCTV inspections and flushing or corrections on the <br /> Partial payments of the total bid item costs will be made for the lump sum contract price based on <br /> milestone completion of the work as follows: <br /> 1. A total of 30% of the original contract bid price for coordination, submittal and acceptance of <br /> the Type 3E Working Drawing detailing the combined sewer bypass plan. <br /> 2.
