The sample plot, fish use, photo documentation and other
monitoring data specific to the AMS will be provided to Geoengineers by the City and will be included in the
Year 3 Monitoring Summary report. The Year 3 Monitoring Summary Report will also include the revised
monitoring methods that are included in the previously approved Task 3.
Task 7 -Smith Island Additional Monitoring and Reporting Services(Optional)
GeoEngineers has included an optional task to provide additional monitoring or reporting services up to
$5,000 in additional budget for unanticipated services related to the Smith Island Advance Mitigation Site.
These services must be approved in writing by the City Project Manager.
Assumptions
Task 5:
■ Permit applications and other documents prepared for DID5's Downstream Dike Maintenance
includes sufficient information regarding project impacts to prepare a Mitigation Site Use Plan.
■ Revisions to permit applications and other documents to be consistent with the Mitigation Site Use
Plan, is not included in this effort.
■ The Mitigation Site Use Plan will be the first prepared for the Smith Island AMS and likely receive
questions or requests for further clarification from regulatory agencies. We anticipate a follow up
meeting with agencies to discuss the Site Use Plan but have not included scope or budget to
address written comments or revisions to the plan that may be requested by the Agencies.
Task 6:
■ The County will provide accurate and complete data sufficient to prepare a summary monitoring
report that addresses habitat functions as it relates to mitigation site performance standards.
a The City/DID5 will provide one round of comments on draft summary report. We anticipate a follow
up meeting with agencies to discuss results but have not included scope or budget to address
written comments or revisions to the report that may requested by the Agencies.
Task 7:
■ Additional monitoring and report preparation may be required by regulatory agencies to document
performance of the AMS.The nature of these services is unknown at this time and therefore a not
to exceed dollar value of$5,000 will be reserved for this task if the City determines it is needed.
GEOENGINEERS
File No.0661-128-01
