City staff activities required to complete tasks are noted where applicable.
Scope assumptions applicable to the overall project are described below.
Project-level Assumptions:
• All deliverables will be delivered in electronic formats, with no printed copies. Bid documents
will be digitally signed and sealed.
• The City's PM will coordinate location for, and City staff participation in project meetings and
workshops where noted.
• Unless otherwise specified, meetings and workshops will be held virtually.
• City PM will provide timely, consolidated staff review comments on draft work products. City
review periods will be identified in project schedules.
• Mileage for in person meetings and site visits are budgeted assuming the visits are to the
Port Gardner site.
• Meeting agendas and notes will be prepared by BC.
• The City will provide any available plans, construction records, asset information, operational
data, and related information that was not provided during development of the PGSF Facility
Plan, and provide access to plant staff for workshops and interviews.
• The draft scope does not include a detailed seismic evaluation, with the exception of review
of an existing City seismic study to develop prioritization recommendations on potential
seismic improvements.
• Past studies and reports, including condition assessments, form the basis on which this
scope of work has been planned. Discovery of new, unforeseeable, or latent issues
associated with the existing site and facilities as uncovered through additional data
collection (Phase 210) may result in need for project plan, scope, and budget changes. It is
assumed that structures to be reused as described herein are salvageable in their current
form without foundation improvements or major structural modifications and support.
• For budgeting purposes, it's assumed the duration of the overall Project will be January 2022
through December 2024.The actual project schedule and schedule updates will be
2
