METHODS TO PROJECT THE OVERNIGHT FIGURES: Reservation on the ferry requires the sharing of area code information. We believe that at least 25% of Jetty Island visitors who come from 50+ miles away or more will stay in overnight accommodations. METHODS TO REPORT ON OVERNIGHT CLAIMS: In 2021, a survey was developed and sent to visitors after their Jetty Island experience that asked where they stayed before or after their visit. Unfortunately, we did not receive enough responses to generate good data. We would love to utilize geo fencing data to really pinpoint where people stay before or after their Jetty Island experience. PROMOTION AND MARKETING PLAN In 2022, promotions and marketing are being spearheaded on the Visit Everett website, in partnership with the Port of Everett and Snohomish County. Additionally, Jetty Island features prominently as one of the best tourist attractions in the Pacific Northwest: Yelp, Trip Advisor, Wikipedia, Sunset Magazine, 1889, and on the Snohomish County Tourism and Port of Everett websites. Family oriented websites such as Parent Map wrote an article on the island in July of 2018. Adventurer websites such as Roadtrippers and the Washington Trail Association encourage those looking for an outdoor adventure to visit. Local newspapers such as the Seattle Times and Everett Herald have featured the Jetty Island experience in their local sections over the years. King 5 featured Jetty Island and the City of Everett in their " Best of the Burbs " segment and Jetty Island has its own Wikipedia page! All of the above media attention brings visitors from around the region and the country to visit Jetty Island.
